On the military area in Rinkaby, the Andersson family has kept the landscape open with their cows, calves and bulls since 1973. Today, a herd of 300 Angus (pure breed or crossing) lives here. The breed Angus thrives on dry and barren lands like this, and it is thanks to the pasture of the cows that this area is now included in Natura 2000. The animals live their entire lives outdoor in this beautiful fields, with daily supervision of Christian and his colleagues. The slaughter takes place at a small local slaughterhouse in Mjällby.
